Why the page counts differ
Books are printed on folded sheets, so each binding has a minimum it can be made at. A hardcover starts at 24 pages, a softcover at 32, and a booklet at just 4 — which is why a booklet suits a smaller family. Every person in the book takes two pages: their photograph and their name.
Why delivery is quoted separately
We print at whichever partner is nearest to you, so both the printing and the postage depend on where the book is going. You will see the exact total for your address before you pay — there is nothing to guess at.

Questions people ask
- What if my family is small?
- Choose the booklet. It starts at 4 pages, so a child with one parent and one grandparent makes a proper little book with nothing padded out. A hardcover of the same family would have blank pages at the back, and we would rather tell you that than print them.
- What if my family is large?
- Hardcover and softcover go up to 800 pages, so there is no practical limit. The booklet stops at 48 pages — about twenty people — because that is as much as can be stapled through the middle.
- How much is delivery?
- It depends where you are. We print at whichever partner is closest to you, so a book to the UK costs less to post than one to Australia. The exact figure appears at checkout before you pay anything.
- Can I change the book after ordering?
- You approve a proof of every page before the order goes anywhere. After that it goes straight to print, so have a good look at the spellings — that is the moment to catch them.
